Elkhorn Ridge House

Coco Beach Penthouse sits on a little peninsula in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, enjoying lovely beach views to east and west, and a beautiful mountain, El Yunque, and its rain forest to south. Our goal for this project is to create something unique: a blend between Caribbean and Japanese design elements, and a special place for a young family to enjoy the spectacular views.
This comfortable penthouse will be a true Caribbean paradise.

Elkhorn Ridge House is an exciting new challenge for us. Perched atop a mountain ridge, this fire-resistant retreat is designed to harmonize with its dramatic surroundings while offering breathtaking views. To ensure durability and safety, we are exploring the innovative use of Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFs).

Departing from our conventional materials, we are experimenting materials which are fire resistant and aesthetically striking to enhance both resilience and beauty.

Inside, the home balances expansive, light-filled spaces that highlight the stunning vistas with intimate, cozy areas illuminated by warm, ambient light. This contrast creates a dynamic and inspiring living experience, perfectly suited to its unique setting.
