COCO BEACH PENTHOUSE

Coco Beach Penthouse sits on a little peninsula in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, enjoying lovely beach views to east and west, and a beautiful mountain, El Yunque, and its rain forest to south. Our goal for this project is to create something unique: a blend between Caribbean and Japanese design elements, and a special place for a young family to enjoy the spectacular views.
Beautiful outdoor features are drawn to inside, and interior features are extended to outside. Sand, waves, and palm leaves outside became wavy tiles and the mural of palm leaves, mirrors in the living room and kitchen reflect the beautiful mountain, beach, and sky, and vertical screen and dropped ceiling inside are extended to outside. Once the bi-fold patio door opens, the boundary between inside and outside disappears. Earthy tone materials create a great background for colorful paintings by Puerto Rican artists. This comfortable penthouse will be a true Caribbean paradise.
