Juanita Beach House
KIRKLAND, WASHINGTON
This design is for a second-story addition to a 64-year-old three-bedroom house in the Juanita Beach Neighborhood of Kirkland, WA.
The design finds a balance between the character of the existing structure and a fresh, modern addition. Clerestory windows provide an abundance of natural light while providing privacy for the owners. Maple plywood ceiling soffits, guard railings and cabinets create a warm and comfortable atmosphere. An integrated fireman’s pole is an exciting feature for the kids. The dining and living spaces are optimized to entertain guests with expansive views of the backyard and surrounding landscape
